From simple plywood sheets to cabinet-grade and construction-grade options, Chattanooga Hardwood Center has what you need for any home improvement or building project. Unlike big-box stores, we can source the cabinet- and furniture-grade plywood they don’t typically stock—sold by the sheet or by the bundle to fit your exact needs. Because this material is premium and we currently don’t have ideal storage space, we bring it in by special order to ensure it arrives clean, flat, and undamaged. The good news: our new warehouse will let us keep bundles on hand for even faster turnaround. We also carry specialty panels like marine-grade plywood and Baltic birch. And if there’s something we don’t have in stock today, we can get it—our weekly stock truck arrives every Tuesday for Wednesday pick-ups, so your project stays on schedule.

Plywood is a composite made by combining three or more pieces (veneers) of wood together. The three most common types are three-ply plywood, five-ply plywood, and multi-ply plywood. As you can guess from the names, these plywood varieties have three, five, or multiple veneers, respectively. Plywood is common for interior and exterior construction work due to its comparative strength and lightweight versatility. Because plywood is made from three or more boards, it can be very difficult to cut through and can easily splinter on the edges during transportation. Once installed, plywood should be finished with laminate or veneer.
